Our client is a leading global aerospace interiors design services company, with manufacturing facilities in Japan, the United States, and Singapore.
This is a direct, full-time opportunity with the client, based out of their Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune.
Role overview
As Senior Manager - Supply Chain, you will lead and manage end-to-end supply chain operations across global markets. You will work closely with client stakeholders, cross-functional global teams, and external partners to design and execute supply chain strategies that drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and service excellence.
This role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, information, and processes across geographies, contributing directly to business performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
- Lead procurement activities including sourcing, vendor negotiations, and contract management
- Oversee logistics operations (transportation, warehousing, and distribution) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Manage inventory to optimize working capital while ensuring demand fulfillment
- Drive supply chain optimization initiatives, including process improvements and waste reduction (Lean / Six Sigma)
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and ensure continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong supplier and partner relationships
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory and operational standards
Required Skillset & Experience
- Proven experience in global supply chain management within the manufacturing sector, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or engineering industries
- Strong exposure to end-to-end supply chain processes across multiple geographies, including cost and budget management
- Experience working with multicultural and cross-border teams
- Certification in Six Sigma / Lean methodologies is highly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supply chain optimization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to manage complex operations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance / Supply Chain / Operations is highly desirable
OR
- Candidates with a Finance qualification must have relevant experience in the manufacturing / engineering industry
Additional Requirements:
- Strong understanding of global supply chain technologies and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs
