About Arbour & the Role:

Arbour Alternate Advisors Private Limited is a Mumbai-based investment management firm focused on structured real estate credit and high-yield debt strategies, operating in the alternative investments space. We manage institutional-grade investment opportunities delivering superior risk-adjusted returns through a strong network of strategic distribution partners spanning Wealth Management Firms, National Distributors, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), Multi-Family Offices, Private Banks, Asset Management Companies (AMCs), and other strategic channel partners.

We are seeking a senior investor relations professional to own Arbour's strategic channel partner relationship management function - the custodian of Arbour's most valuable distribution network. The role demands the communication discipline of a seasoned Investor Relations professional, the relationship depth of an experienced Channel Partner Manager, and the commercial acuity to strengthen strategic partnerships while driving incremental AUM growth through partner engagement. It offers direct access to the Founding team, high visibility across Arbour's channel partner ecosystem, and meaningful influence over partner retention, business expansion, and long-term distribution success.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Strategic Channel Partner Relationship Management:

- Primary relationship manager for all strategic channel partners - including Wealth Management Firms, National Distributors, IFAs, Private Banks, Multi-Family Offices, and other distribution partners - owning the full partner lifecycle: onboarding, engagement, servicing, query resolution, and long-term relationship management.

- Build deep, trust-based relationships with channel partner principals, business heads, investment advisors, relationship managers, and key decision-makers across the distribution network.

- Act as the internal champion for channel partner requirements - ensuring Operations, Compliance, Investment, and Sales teams deliver seamless and high-quality partner experience.

- Maintain comprehensive partner records, engagement history, business intelligence, and relationship insights to enable proactive and personalized partner engagement.

B. Channel Partner Communication & Reporting:

- Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of all channel partner communications, including project performance updates, product updates, regulatory announcements, marketing collateral, and other partner-facing communications.

- Develop and manage a structured channel partner communication calendar, including quarterly business reviews, product updates, market outlooks, training sessions, webinars, and periodic business updates.

- Develop and coordinate personalized partner communication materials, including project performance summaries, investment presentations, product updates, sales collateral, and business proposals in collaboration with the Investment and Sales teams.

- Facilitate channel partner meetings, business review discussions, product presentations, partner training sessions, and strategic business reviews to strengthen long-term partnerships.

C. Channel Partner Servicing & Query Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all channel partner queries, operational support, documentation requirements, and escalations - ensuring prompt resolution while maintaining strong and long-term partner relationships.

- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Sales teams to facilitate partner onboarding, KYC requirements, subscription processing, transaction support, and regulatory compliance.

- Coordinate partner-related transaction processes, subscription status, documentation, commission-related support (where applicable), and ensure seamless execution of operational requirements between internal teams and channel partners.

- Proactively identify and resolve channel partner concerns before escalation, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and seamless partner experience.

D. Channel Partner Retention & Business Growth:

- Design and execute channel partner engagement and retention strategies to strengthen long-term partnerships, enhance partner loyalty, and drive sustained business growth.

- Identify incremental business opportunities, partner-led fund mobilization opportunities, and referral opportunities; collaborate with the Direct Sales and Channel Sales teams to drive AUM growth through the partner network.

- Build and maintain a structured partner engagement pipeline, tracking business opportunities, partner interactions, growth initiatives, and incremental AUM opportunities.

- Gather partner feedback and satisfaction insights to continuously enhance partner engagement, communication quality, and overall partner experience.

E. Market Intelligence & Strategic Contribution:

- Stay current with alternative investment developments, regulatory changes, and evolving trends across the wealth management, private banking, and strategic channel partner ecosystem.

- Provide structured channel partner feedback, market intelligence, and distribution insights into the Investment, Product, and Sales teams to support business strategy and product enhancement.

- Represent Arbour at wealth management conferences, partner forums, industry events, and strategic networking platforms to strengthen relationships and expand the partner ecosystem.

- Contribute to Arbour's broader channel partner engagement, investor relations strategy, and partner retention initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

- Postgraduate in Finance, MBA, Business Administration, or related discipline.

- CFA, CFP, or relevant investment certifications are a strong advantage.

Experience:

- 8 - 10 years of experience in Investor Relations, Channel Partner Management, Wealth Management, Distribution, Private Banking, or Alternative Investments.

- Proven track record of managing and growing strategic channel partner relationships, driving partner engagement, business retention, and incremental AUM through Wealth Management Firms, IFAs, Private Banks, Multi-Family Offices, National Distributors, or similar distribution partners.

- Prior experience in Channel Partner Management, Investor Relations, Distribution, or Business Development within an AIF, PMS, Private Equity, Real Estate Fund, Asset Management Company, or Alternative Investment platform is strongly preferred.

- Deep familiarity with alternative investment products, structured credit, distribution models, partner engagement frameworks, capital call/distribution processes, and AIF regulations in India.

- Established network across Wealth Management Firms, National Distributors, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), Private Banks, Multi-Family Offices, Asset Management Companies (AMCs), and other strategic distribution partners in Mumbai.

- Commercial acumen to identify partner-led business growth opportunities, incremental AUM potential, and strategic collaboration opportunities while maintaining an Investor Relations focus.

- Strong reporting discipline with the ability to manage multiple strategic channel partner relationships while consistently delivering a high-quality partner experience.
