Job Summary:
The Senior Manager Sales Operations will be responsible for driving operational excellence across the sales organization by optimizing processes, systems, analytics, and performance management.
This role will serve as a strategic partner to sales leadership, ensuring the effective execution of sales strategies, accurate forecasting, data-driven decision-making, and continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing sales operations in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales operations strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with sales leaders to align operational activities with business goals and revenue targets.
- Identify and implement process improvements across the sales funnel, including lead management, pipeline tracking, and deal execution.
- Standardize workflows, ensure process compliance, and promote operational discipline across the sales organization.
- Support go-to-market strategy, segmentation, and territory planning.
- Partner with regional and account leaders to build accurate sales forecasts and track key performance metrics (KPIs).
- Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Drive the cadence of sales reviews, pipeline health checks, and performance dashboards.
- Develop and manage quota setting, incentive design, and performance tracking mechanisms.
- Oversee sales data integrity, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting.
- Create and manage real-time sales dashboards and performance reports using tools like Salesforce, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Analyze sales trends, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and deal velocity to identify areas for improvement.
- Translate data insights into strategic recommendations for sales leadership and executive teams.
- Own and manage the Sales CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) and related tools to streamline sales processes.
- Lead tool implementation, integration, and adoption initiatives across the sales organization.
- Partner with IT, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure systems interoperability and data consistency.
- Evaluate emerging sales technologies and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and automation.
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success teams to align sales operations with broader business strategies.
- Support sales enablement programs, including onboarding, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with HR and Sales Leaders on incentive compensation planning and territory management.
- Facilitate communication between sales teams and leadership, ensuring alignment and transparency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in data modeling, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
