Role Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to drive new merchant acquisition for high-value clients. The ideal candidate brings 5 to 7 years of proven experience in onboarding large-scale e-retail accounts and has successfully handled merchant relationships in the e-retail commerce space. Experience in specific sectors like insurance and healthcare can be an added advantage. This role combines strategic sales execution, relationship management, and deep domain expertise across digital payments and acquiring solutions for such e-commerce merchants.


Key Responsibilities:


- Own and grow a portfolio of national-level key merchants in e-retail, insurance, and healthcare

segments.


- Lead the full sales cycle for new merchant acquisition: from prospecting, proposal crafting, and pricing, to onboarding and long-term engagement.


- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance) to ensure seamless merchant integration and experience.


- Track competitive landscape, pricing trends, and vertical-specific shifts to position our acquiring solutions effectively.


- Drive cross-selling and upselling of value-added services such as analytics, working capital solutions, Digital onboarding, etc.


- Report performance metrics regularly to leadership with insights and corrective actions where necessary.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


Experience: 5-7 years in merchant acquisition/sales roles with fintechs, digital payments companies or Merchant acquiring business with banks.


Industry Exposure: Prior experience managing mid to large accounts in e-retail is preferred and added advantage; working with clients in insurance or healthcare will be highly valued.


Skills:


- Strategic account management, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and commercial acumen.


- Team player and will be able to drive new business opportunities as an Individual contributor reporting to the Sales Director


Education: Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce/Technology; MBA preferred but not essential.


Personality Traits: Self-starter, relationship-oriented, adept at managing complex stakeholders across regions.


Preferred Skills & Good-to-Have:


- Experience in Fintech or Bank acquiring business


- Exposure to managing Merchant Acquisition (India), having a Regional or national level presence


- Prefer those who have managed accounts in the insurance or healthcare industry.
