Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
a) Identify and develop new business opportunities, market segments, and key accounts.
b) Conduct technical and commercial presentations, product demonstrations, and client consultations.
Customer & Market Engagement
a) Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, system integrators, engineering companies and end-users.
b) Understand customer requirements and coordinate with German HQ for customized solutions.
c) Represent organization in trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and industry networking events.
d) Lead operational activities related to after-sales support, service coordination, installation, and commissioning.
e) Drive cross-functional collaboration between India operations and the German headquarters.
f) Manage budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and compliance related to the Indian subsidiary.
Strategic Responsibilities
a) Provide actionable market intelligence to the HQ regarding the Indian market.
b) Contribute insights on customer behavior, pricing landscape, competitor activities and emerging market trends.
c) Participate in annual planning, organizational development, and long-term business strategy for India.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Education
a) Engineering Graduate / Mechanical Engineer (preferably) from a reputed university.
b) Additional qualification in business management or sales (would be an advantage but not mandatory).
Experience
a) Minimum 8 to 15 years of progressive experience in industrial equipment sales, machinery, engineering products, or B2B manufacturing solutions.
b) Proven success in developing new markets and handling technical sales cycles.
c) Experience in handling high-value capital equipment sales on PAN India basis will be an ideal fit.
d) Knowledge of post sales customer engagement and service operations would be a plus.
