Role Overview:

As the Senior Sales Manager - FMCG, you will be at the forefront of driving our sales strategy and execution within the Nigerian market. Your day-to-day will involve leading a team of sales professionals, developing and implementing sales plans, and building strong relationships with key distributors and retailers. You will collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution and achievement of sales targets. This role directly impacts our market share, revenue growth, and brand visibility, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success in a key growth market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans for the FMCG product portfolio in Nigeria, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and maximizing market penetration.

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance management to achieve individual and team sales targets.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and other channel partners, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring optimal product availability and visibility.

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and recommend appropriate actions.

- Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.

- Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure effective product launches, promotions, and inventory management.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies in the FMCG sector within the Nigerian market.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of motivating and developing high-performing sales teams.

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.

- Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.

- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
