Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Risk Analyst with 3-4 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a proprietary trading environment.

The candidate will work closely with traders, technology, and compliance teams to monitor and manage real-time market risk, trading limits, and exposure across global markets. This role requires strong analytical skills, market understanding, and a proactive mindset to anticipate and mitigate potential trading risks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor real-time market risk exposure across all active forex trading accounts.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk profiles for trading strategies, clients, and trading desks

- Evaluate risk-reward scenarios for open positions.

- Define and enforce risk limits (e.g., leverage ratios, drawdowns, margin requirements).

- Analyze the impact of geopolitical events, interest rate movements, and macroeconomic data on currency pairs.

- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports with actionable insights for senior management.

- Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and back-testing of trading models to assess potential risk.

- Stay current on forex regulations, global market trends, and risk-related news.

Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics

- 2 to 5 years of experience in forex trading, risk management, or market analysis.

- Strong understanding of forex markets, currency instruments, trading platforms (e.g., MetaTrader, cTrader etc).

- Solid grasp of financial risk concepts including VaR, exposure limits, leverage, and drawdown.

- Proficiency in Excel, and risk modeling tools.

- Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with algorithmic or high-frequency trading environments.

- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines in fast-moving markets.

- Strong reporting and presentation skills for risk communications.
