At our company, transparency drives everything we do including how we manage our finances. As Sr. Manager - Reporting & Controls, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end monthly MIS reporting, statutory and internal audits, and data support for the commercial finance team. You'll act as a bridge between operations, finance, and commercial teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting for decision-making and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. MIS & Reporting:
- Own the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of monthly MIS reports including P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, cost centre reports, and variance analysis.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy in monthly closing activities in collaboration with accounting and operations teams.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards and KPIs to support business insights.
2. Audit Management:
- Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits by preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and ensuring timely closure.
- Ensure audit-readiness of books and compliance with IND-AS/IGAAP as applicable (manage any transition).
- Drive resolution of audit issues and implement control improvements.
3. Commercial Finance Support:
- Provide structured and ad-hoc data analysis to support pricing, promotions, customer profitability, and trade schemes.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to drive margin optimization through insights from reporting.
4. Compliance & Controls:
- Support the implementation and documentation of robust internal controls and SOPs.
- Ensure timely filings and reconciliations related to GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements in coordination with accounting teams.
5. Process Improvement:
- Identify automation opportunities in reporting and data consolidation to reduce manual effort and turnaround time.
- Work closely with tech and ERP teams to enhance system-based reporting.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of post-qualifications relevant experience in an FMCG, retail, or high-growth startup environment
- Strong command over Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and evolving environment
- High attention to detail and deadline orientation
