Role Overview:
The Senior Manager - Regulatory Compliance will be responsible for interpreting complex RBI and NPCI regulations and working closely with Business and Product teams to ensure products and processes are compliant by design. The role requires strong expertise in the Payments ecosystem, particularly Payment Aggregators (PA), Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI), and cross-border payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret RBI and NPCI circulars, notifications and guidelines.
- Conduct regulatory impact assessments and provide actionable guidance to Business and Product teams.
- Act as a Regulatory Compliance SME for Product teams.
- Ensure new products and process flows incorporate applicable regulatory requirements and controls.
- Drive compliance with Master Directions covering Payment Aggregators, Cross-Border Transactions and PPIs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement regulatory changes within defined timelines.
- Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Payments-domain experience.
- Strong knowledge of RBI regulations.
- Hands-on experience in regulatory implementation.
- Strong analytical and regulatory interpretation skills.
- Ability to assess the impact of regulations on business/product processes.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Ability to identify compliance risks and recommend practical mitigations.
