Our client is a leading multinational beverage company with a significant presence in around 50 countries. They manufacture and market a wide range of beverage products, including packaged mineral water, carbonated beverages and dairy beverages, catering to diverse consumer needs. .

Role Overview:

The Senior Manager - Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for overseeing all regulatory aspects related to the company's food & beverage and nutraceutical products in India. This role involves ensuring compliance with FSSAI regulations, legal metrology requirements, and other relevant laws. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure that all products meet regulatory standards and are launched successfully. This role is critical in safeguarding the company's reputation and ensuring consumer safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement regulatory strategies for new and existing food & beverage and nutraceutical products to ensure compliance with FSSAI and other applicable regulations.

- Manage all aspects of regulatory submissions, including product registrations, license renewals, and label approvals, to ensure timely market access.

- Provide expert guidance on food regulations, nutrition facts, artwork requirements, and legal metrology to internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, and supply chain teams.

- Monitor changes in food regulations and legal metrology requirements to assess their impact on the company's products and operations and implement necessary adjustments.

- Lead the development and review of product formulations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and nutritional guidelines.

- Oversee the preparation and review of product artwork and labeling to ensure accuracy and compliance with FSSAI regulations.

- Manage the company's EXIM (Export-Import) regulatory compliance for food and beverage products, including documentation and liaison with relevant authorities.

- Represent the company in interactions with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other external stakeholders to advocate for the company's interests and ensure compliance.

- Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders to enhance their understanding and compliance.

- Manage and mentor a team of regulatory affairs professionals to ensure effective execution of regulatory strategies and compliance activities.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in food regulations, legal metrology, and regulatory compliance within the food & beverage and nutraceutical industries.

- Proven ability to develop and implement regulatory strategies for new and existing products.

- Strong understanding of FSSAI regulations, nutrition facts, artwork requirements, and EXIM procedures.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.

- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food & beverage or nutraceutical industry.

- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
