The incumbent will be responsible for working with teams within the Group Communications Division (GCD) to understand key processes and pain points to propose and implement how they can be made more efficient. The incumbent will also support delivering key Quality Assurance (QA) projects and processes such as the QA Blueprint Roadmap and delivering new and enhancing existing policy and procedures. They will also work with other bank divisions on initiatives impacting GCD.
The role requires expert-level senior business analyst skills and experience to drive strategic analysis, optimize business processes, and deliver actionable insights that support organizational objectives. The incumbent will leverage advanced data modeling, requirements gathering, and process improvement methodologies to ensure alignment between business initiatives and quality assurance goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills to understand diverse ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop business cases for enhancement. Establish clear measurement criteria to assess the impact and effectiveness of proposed changes.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
- Able to act as a deputy for the VP Quality Assurance and enforce delegated responsibilities whenever required.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
- Establish new Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure clear expectations for quality and timeliness in deliverables, while continuously monitoring and refining these standards to meet evolving business and customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group's objectives.
- Lead requirements elicitation and stakeholder analysis at an expert level to ensure customer needs are accurately translated into actionable business and QA initiatives. Utilize advanced communication and negotiation skills to align internal and external stakeholders with the Group's strategic objectives.
- Maintain activities in accordance with existing QA Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Discuss QA reports with the VP of QA on timely basis and obtain their responses including the target dates for resolution of the issues noted prior to issuance of the f inal report.
- Utilize expert business process analysis and reengineering skills to map, evaluate, and optimize internal processes. Apply advanced methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and BPMN to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance.
- Promote awareness and effective management of Operational Risk (Op Risk) in Quality Assurance activities on behalf of GCD, ensuring all QA practices align with the Group's risk management framework.
- Review and report on Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, ensuring regular updates and escalation of key issues in accordance with established policies and procedures.
D. Learning & Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of integrated quality assurance techniques and how to select and apply the use of them to meet objectives
- Identify areas for professional development of team members and undertake development activities.
- Exhibit mastery in business analysis frameworks and tools, and mentor team members in advanced business analysis techniques. Drive knowledge sharing and continuous learning in areas such as requirements management, business case development and analysis.
E. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
- Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defense principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
- Ensure systematic good outcomes for internal and external clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
- Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
- Apply expert risk assessment and management skills to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks in business processes and QA operations. Utilize advanced analytical tools to ensure compliance and support robust risk reporting.
F. Other:
- Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
- Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
- Maintain high professional standards to uphold QNB's reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
- All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.
- Leverage expert business analysis skills to support ad hoc strategic initiatives, including complex data analysis, business case development, and cross-functional project leadership.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business Analysis, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Project Management or a closely related field required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a major bank / multinational organization in a related function - of which at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Significant experience as a senior business analyst, demonstrating expert-level skills in business process analysis, requirements management, and strategic business planning within complex, multi-departmental organizations.

- Evidence of an analytical mindset to track and evaluate the effectiveness of Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Ability to be involved with highly sensitive information, using discretion and integrity.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Arabic (preferred).
- Resilient, with the ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high levels of professionalism under pressure.
- Able to work autonomously and with a high degree of initiative.
