- Know material procurement, New Vendor Development, Project Procurement, Import, Capital Equipment Procurement, Electrical Procurement, Vendor Negotiation, Consumables, and sourcing of raw materials including Fuel being used in corrugated box/packaging Industries.
- Forecasting and Formulating Business, Pricing Strategy keeping cost low; Forecasting Price trends; Timely costing calculations and taking strategic decision on raw material purchases.
- Basic understanding of taxation, import trends, fore casting, pricing, Handling Legal requirements, Import - Export Regulations, Commercial Laws, Licenses and Trade Regulations,
Inventory & Insurance Management.
- Expert in Technical Analysis; analyse price history - predict price movements and RM procurement based on market intelligence.
- Utilizes forecasting or historical demand to establish inventory levels.
- To maintain and share reports on the major KPIs such as Budget/Plan vs actual cost of material, plant inventory levels.
- To work with the plant team on identifying material shortfalls and scheduling the orders in line with the requirement, defined inventory levels.
- Improve efficiencies in procurement of material through new initiatives.
- Possess excellent strategic thinking, analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills; an effective communicator and team leader with skills in troubleshooting and planning & managing resources.
- Release the procurement policy and providing demonstration of commercial & compliance value of centralized sourcing.
- Mentor the team and develop them for new/higher roles.
Vendor management:
- Identify and develop local suppliers
- To coordinate with supplier, stores, QC & user departments for any material discrepancy
- To coordinate with quality for vendor performance review
- Performs periodic site audits of key suppliers
Working in Printing and Packaging Industries shall be preferable.
