Lead and oversee procurement operations, driving cost optimization, supplier excellence, and supply chain efficiency. This senior leadership role ensures strategic alignment of procurement with business goals while managing vendor relationships, contracts, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for cost savings and efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure commercial advantage.
- Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Align procurement with Production, Quality, and Finance functions.
- Manage inventory, budgets, purchase orders, and supplier payments.
- Implement ERP/procurement systems to streamline processes.
- Analyse market trends and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Build strong stakeholder and supplier relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- 10-15+ years in procurement/purchase within automobile component manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in vendor management, cost reduction, contract management, and supplier audits.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
- Experience with global suppliers and imports is a plus.
