We are partnering with a fast-growing, impact-focused advisory firm working at the intersection of government transformation, philanthropy, and large-scale development programs.

This is a high-ownership leadership role for professionals passionate about driving systemic change through policy, execution, and institution building.

Role summary:

As a Senior Manager, you will lead multi-stakeholder programs and drive strategy + execution for government and philanthropic initiatives, while owning relationships, delivery, and growth.

This role combines strategy consulting, stakeholder management, and on-ground execution, with significant exposure to public systems transformation in India.

Key responsibilities:

1. Program Strategy & Delivery

- Lead design and execution of large-scale programs across sectors such as livelihoods, education, agriculture, and governance

- Drive structured delivery through cross-functional teams (consultants + program managers)

- Ensure strong outcomes using results-based management frameworks

2. Government & Philanthropic Stakeholder Management

Build trusted relationships with:

- Senior government leaders (state & central ministries)

- Global and domestic philanthropic organizations

- Align stakeholder priorities to design impactful, fundable programs

3. Thought Leadership & Practice Building

- Codify learnings into playbooks, frameworks, and sector insights

- Contribute to external positioning via publications, forums, and policy discussions

- Drive innovation in program design and delivery models

4. External Relationship Development

Own senior-level ecosystem relationships across:

- Government

- Funders

- Development ecosystem players

- Represent the organization at forums, conferences, and strategic discussions

5. Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Build and mentor high-performing teams

- Drive culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

6. Growth & Business Development

- Identify and shape new opportunities with government and philanthropic partners

- Lead proposal development and conversion of strategic opportunities

What success looks like:

- Delivery of high-impact, scalable programs across multiple states/sectors

- Strong, trusted relationships with senior government and philanthropic stakeholders

- Expansion of practice areas and pipeline of new strategic engagements

Ideal candidate profile:

Experience:

8-12 years of experience in:

- Strategy/Management consulting

- Government transformation / development sector

- Multi-stakeholder program design and execution

Pedigree (strongly preferred):

- Background in top-tier consulting firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or equivalent high-quality strategy environments

- Experience leading end-to-end engagements (not just advisory)
