Senior Manager - Public Policy | Gurugram

About the Role:

Hiring a Senior Manager - Public Policy for one of India's leading consumer technology companies. This is a high-impact role for an experienced public policy professional who can lead advocacy initiatives, build relationships with key government stakeholders, and influence policy outcomes at both the Central and State Government levels.

The role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of public policy, regulation, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead policy advocacy initiatives on regulatory and legislative issues impacting the business.

- Develop policy positions, advocacy strategies, and stakeholder engagement plans.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, government departments, legislators, industry bodies, think tanks, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

- Draft policy representations, consultation responses, briefing notes, position papers, and leadership talking points.

- Represent the organization at government meetings, consultations, conferences, and industry forums.

- Monitor policy and regulatory developments, assess business impact, and recommend proactive engagement strategies.

- Collaborate closely with Legal, Operations, Communications, Finance, Product, and Business teams to execute policy priorities.

- Drive multiple policy workstreams simultaneously with strong ownership and execution.

- Mentor and manage a team of two policy professionals.

Ideal Candidate:

- 9-13 years of experience in Public Policy, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Consulting, Industry Associations, Think Tanks, or Government.

- Demonstrated experience engaging with Central and/or State Government stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of India's legislative, regulatory, and policy-making ecosystem.

- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to independently lead complex advocacy initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

- Experience in technology, internet, e-commerce, logistics, mobility, consumer internet, or related sectors will be preferred.
