Senior Manager - Project

About the role:

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of New / Revamp / Refurb projects and maintenance work that includes managing all the aspects of site execution from design to execution. This role holder needs to extensively travel and stay at various locations till the satisfactory completion of the work assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with other internal departments to develop and collate brand standards for Internal Brands.

- Work with External Brand partners to assist in the development or modification of their brand design standards that can be applied .

- Review of all design submissions prepared by and submitted by external consultants to insure design consistency and cost effectiveness.

- Prepare and maintain a master program, from concept to completion to record principal activities and identify critical dates and milestones.

- Conduct risk management & value engineering workshops/meetings and recommend value engineering options to designer

- Preparing Master Construction Schedule and aligning it with the Contractors Construction Schedules and committed dates.

- Check that the contractors fulfil their contractual obligations in assessing and dealing with extensions of time and issuing the appropriate certificates.

- Ensure the validity of contractors' insurance certificates and renewal of insurance at renewal dates.

- Co-ordinate and obtain necessary approvals & permissions from authorities as and when required during construction phase

- Schedule, Quality and cost management

- Develop macro & micro schedules. Monitor and update on a weekly basis.

- Establishing, quality plans, protocols & formats and procedures for quality

- Check of all equipment & activities, goods and services.

- Verify and approve all invoices including running bills (RA bills) raised by the Contractors before submission .

- Submit a weekly progress report with site photographs to client giving forecast of final costs, including the cost of variation and the cost implications of extension of time, and forecast completion dates

- Inspect, manage, and highlight any potential issues during inspection and prior to handover

- Issue a snag-list along with design consultants and client for project team to follow for rectification for various packages.

- Validate Completion certificates upon completion of all works for respective packages

- Coordinate for compilation and handover through contractors - a final project handover report including a comprehensive project directory, as built drawings and technical documents handed over and a final cost summary report.

Qualification: Bachelor CIVIL with Fit outs exp (Retail, QSR/FnB)
