Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager Production/Manufacturing Excellence - Home Care, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across our Home Care manufacturing plant in Mumbai. You will lead initiatives to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure adherence to the highest quality standards. This role collaborates closely with plant operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Your efforts will directly impact production output, cost optimization, and overall plant performance, contributing significantly to the company's growth and profitability in the competitive Home Care market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the implementation of Operational Excellence programs, including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies, to drive continuous improvement in production processes and reduce waste across the Home Care plant.

- Develop and execute strategies to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by analyzing performance data, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and productivity enhancements across the manufacturing operations.

- Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring performance metrics, and providing regular reports to management on progress against targets.

- Mentor and coach plant personnel on Lean principles, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies to build internal capabilities and foster a culture of excellence.

- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards by implementing robust procedures, conducting regular audits, and promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the plant.

- Manage and oversee capital projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

- Benchmark plant performance against industry best practices and identify opportunities to adopt new technologies and innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities and competitiveness.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement Operational Excellence programs, including Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma, within a manufacturing environment.

- Proven ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to improve OEE and overall plant performance.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies used in the Home Care or Personal Care industry.

- Ability to mentor and coach plant personnel on Lean principles, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial preferred).

- Adaptable to an on-site work environment in Mumbai, requiring presence at the manufacturing plant.
