Role Overview:
Senior Manager - Procurement will lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, serving as a critical bridge between organizational requirements and vendor ecosystems. Based in Ahmedabad, this role involves orchestrating complex sourcing strategies, managing high-value contract negotiations, and ensuring seamless integration of procurement workflows within the SAP environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership teams to mitigate supply chain risks and drive cost-optimization initiatives that directly impact the company's bottom line and operational agility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality goods and services while maintaining strict budgetary compliance.
- Oversee the end-to-end SAP procurement module operations to ensure data integrity, process transparency, and efficient reporting across all business units.
- Negotiate and manage complex vendor contracts to secure favorable terms, mitigate commercial risks, and foster long-term strategic partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and internal consumption patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements that enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale procurement operations with a deep functional understanding of SAP modules (MM/SRM/ARIBA) to drive process automation and reporting.
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, utilizing strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence decision-making at the leadership level.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities to interpret market data and financial metrics, translating them into actionable procurement strategies.
- Strong educational background, typically holding a postgraduate degree in Management or a related field, complemented by 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated track record of cost savings and value creation.
- Experience working in matrixed multinational environments.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts to support global stakeholders.
