Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Manager - Operations to lead our manufacturing excellence initiatives for Indore facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end production operations, driving high-performance culture while ensuring seamless integration between shop-floor execution and corporate objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership, supply chain partners, and external stakeholders to optimize throughput and maintain world-class quality standards. By championing operational rigor and process innovation, you will directly influence our bottom-line profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term scalability in a competitive industrial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct large-scale production operations to ensure consistent output quality and adherence to delivery timelines, thereby meeting critical customer commitments.
- Spearhead Lean Manufacturing and TPM initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce downtime, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness across all production lines.
- Manage comprehensive departmental budgets and cost-control measures to improve margins and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen methodologies, fostering a culture of problem-solving and operational agility among plant personnel.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of ERP and SAP systems to ensure data integrity, real-time reporting, and streamlined inventory management.
- Provide visionary leadership to diverse teams, mentoring plant managers and supervisors to cultivate a high-performance workforce aligned with organizational goals.
- Enforce stringent Quality Assurance protocols to maintain compliance with industry standards and uphold our reputation for excellence in the market.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex manufacturing environments with a proven track record of scaling operations and improving production efficiency.
- Advanced proficiency in financial acumen, including budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and P&L management to drive sustainable business growth.
- Deep technical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen frameworks, with the ability to translate these methodologies into measurable operational gains.
- Strong command over ERP and SAP environments, utilizing data-driven insights to refine workflows and decision-making processes.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and leading large, multi-disciplinary teams through change.
- Ability to thrive in an on-site manufacturing setting, demonstrating a hands-on leadership style that bridges the gap between strategic planning and floor-level execution.
- A degree in Engineering or Operations Management, ideally complemented by an MBA from a premier institute, reflecting a strong foundation in industrial management.
