Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Senior Manager Operations to spearhead our end-to-end operational activities. This is a unique opportunity to build scalable and efficient manufacturing, supply chain, and vendor management functions from the ground up. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup culture, combines technical expertise with strategic vision, and can lead cross-functional teams to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Leadership: Build and manage manufacturing operations and production planning aligned with aggressive growth targets.
- Supply Chain Setup & Management: Establish procurement processes, vendor sourcing, demand forecasting, inventory control, and logistics in a lean, cost-effective manner.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Set up and enforce EHS, quality (ISO, BIS), and regulatory frameworks from scratch.
- Technology Integration: Partner with IT teams to deploy ERP (SAP, Oracle, or others), IoT, and data analytics tools for digital transformation and predictive maintenance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, sales, and finance teams to ensure product availability, innovation, and profitability align with startup goals.
- Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Cost & Budget Management: Implement rigorous cost control measures while supporting rapid scaling and market expansion.
- Sustainability: Drive ESG initiatives focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, etc.)
