Key Responsibilities:
CMO & Co-Packer Management:
- Sourcing & Onboarding: Identify, audit, and onboard new CMO partners across India (with a focus on West Zone proximity) that align with our quality and scaling needs.
- Production Oversight: Manage the production schedule across multiple sites to ensure timely delivery and zero stock-outs.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure CMOs adhere to FSSAI standards and internal SOPs.
Strategic Procurement:
- Sourcing Strategy: Lead the procurement of raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM), focusing on price volatility management and sustainable sourcing.
- Vendor Development: Build a robust pipeline of primary and secondary vendors to mitigate supply chain risks.
- Negotiation: Drive annual contract negotiations to improve margins and credit terms.
Operational Excellence:
- Cost Optimization: Monitor and reduce manufacturing variances and logistics costs.
- Inventory Management: Oversee RM/PM stocks at CMO locations to minimize wastage and aging inventory.
- Process Improvement: Implement tech-driven tracking (ERP/Dashboards) to bring transparency to external manufacturing.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 4 to 8 years in Operations/Procurement, specifically within the Food & Beverage (F&B) or FMCG sector.
- Startup Grit: Proven track record in a startup environmentsomeone who can build processes from scratch and pivot quickly.
- Education: MBA in Supply Chain/Operations or a Degree in Food Technology/Engineering is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel.
- Location Awareness: Strong network of vendors and manufacturers in the Maharashtra/Gujarat belt is a huge plus.
