Sr. Manager - Operations
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Job Purpose:
The Sr. Manager - Operations will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the manufacturing facilities. The role demands a strategic and hands-on leader who can ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, safety, and compliance while aligning plant performance with broader organizational objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Align plant operations with organizational goals both short-term and long-term.
- Lead capacity expansion, modernization, and infrastructure development projects.
2. Operations Management:
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations ensuring high-quality output and timely deliveries.
- Optimize the use of manpower, materials, and machinery for maximum productivity.
- Define and monitor KPIs to enable data-driven continuous improvement.
3. Financial Management:
- Prepare, manage, and monitor plant budgets for cost optimization.
- Analyze operational costs and implement strategies for improved profitability.
4. Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce strict safety standards and ensure a zero-incident workplace.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, environmental, and regulatory standards.
5. Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams and plant managers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Identify skill gaps and implement training and development programs.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices.
- Promote innovation and technology adoption for improved operational outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering / Industrial Management or related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years in manufacturing/plant operations, including 10+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and scaling manufacturing capabilities.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
