Role Objective:
Drive new client acquisition, expand revenue streams, and strengthen market presence through strategic business development, consultative selling, and relationship management. The role requires strong exposure to advertising agency ecosystems and experience converting pitches into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Identify and acquire new clients across sectors such as BFSI, FMCG, D2C, Sports Nutrition, and F&B
- Develop strategic growth plans aligned with revenue targets
- Build strong sales pipelines through networking, referrals, and industry outreach
Agency-Led Client Engagement:
- Lead consultative discussions with brand stakeholders
- Translate marketing challenges into integrated solutions
- Manage end-to-end pitching lifecycle (brief - strategy - proposal - presentation - closure)
Market Intelligence:
- Track industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities
- Provide actionable insights to leadership for growth planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with strategy, creative, media, and account teams
- Ensure client solutions are insight-driven and outcome-focused
Relationship Management:
- Build long-term client partnerships
- Own onboarding and early-stage engagement for new accounts
Ideal Candidate Profile (Advertising Agency Focus):
- 5-10 years in business development / client acquisition within advertising or marketing agencies
- Demonstrated success in pitching and converting new business
- Strong understanding of branding, integrated campaigns, and performance marketing
- Experience engaging CXOs, marketing heads, or founders
- Excellent storytelling, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across creative and strategy teams
Education:
- Full-time MBA / PGDM preferred
- Strong presentation and analytical capability
