Position: Senior Manager - Marketplace
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3-8 years in marketplace or ecommerce management (experience in consumer brands, D2C, or beauty/personal care is preferred)
Education: B.Tech / MBA / Graduate or Postgraduate from a reputed institution
Key Responsibilities:
Marketplace Strategy & Growth:
- Own the P&L for all marketplace channels including Amazon, Flipkart, Instamart, Blinkit, and others
- Define and execute growth strategies across platforms
- Identify new marketplace opportunities and manage end-to-end launch
- Account & Platform Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with marketplace account managers
- Negotiate platform visibility, promotions, and ad placements
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key platform stakeholders
Sales Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics such as conversion rates, traffic, average order value, and ROAS
- Optimize listings, pricing, and inventory to improve sales performance
- Use data insights to drive decision-making and strategic interventions
Marketing & Campaign Management:
- Lead promotional planning and execution during sales events (e.g., Big Billion Day, Prime Day)
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure high-quality creatives and content
- Oversee marketplace advertising campaigns and optimize for performance
Inventory & Fulfillment Operations:
- Collaborate with supply chain and warehousing to maintain optimal stock levels
- Minimize cancellations, returns, and stock-outs
- Manage fulfillment models like FBA, FBM, and smart logistics
Catalog & Content Optimization:
- Ensure all product listings are SEO-optimized and reflect accurate, compelling information
- Conduct regular A/B testing on content, images, and descriptions to enhance engagement and conversion
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of marketplace specialists or executives (if applicable)
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and product teams to drive cohesive execution
Candidate Profile:
- 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in managing online marketplaces
- Background in ecommerce, consumer brands, or D2C businesses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Prior experience working with or leading small teams is a plus
- Interest or prior exposure to beauty and personal care categories is advantageous
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth setup
