Role Objective:
To conceptualize, design, and implement an effective procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with business requirements, ensuring maximum value realization across annual procurement spend, optimal inventory levels, and year-on-year cost reductions, while maintaining strong compliance and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and procurement of Plant & Machinery, Automobiles, CAPEX items, steel, cement, bulk materials, capital equipment, tools, and O&M spares for projects and operations.
- Develop and execute a company-wide procurement strategy aligned with business and cost optimization goals.
- Establish robust systems, controls, and processes to ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Review existing procurement processes and improve cycle time, efficiency, and contract finalization timelines.
- Design and implement effective negotiation strategies to achieve best techno-commercial outcomes.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to design appropriate sourcing strategies.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships for long-term value creation.
- Support and guide SBU Heads in procurement planning and cost optimization initiatives.
- Provide end-to-end contract administration support, including drafting, evaluation, and execution.
- Lead negotiations and finalization of MOUs and long-term contracts.
- Oversee inventory control, surplus management, and timely disposal of scrap materials.

Qualification & Experience:
- Engineering graduate with a full-time MBA, preferably in SCM / Purchase / Materials Management.
- ~25 years of overall experience, with at least 12+ years in senior procurement leadership roles.
- Proven exposure to procurement in manufacturing, project-based organizations, services, or R&D environments.
- Candidates from automobile, manufacturing, distributed / multi-location businesses, and service sectors will be preferred.
