Position Summary:
As a Senior Manager in the International Tax team, you will lead and manage complex cross-border tax advisory engagements for global clients, ensure high-quality service delivery, drive business development efforts, and contribute to the growth and development of the team. This role requires a strong technical grasp of international tax principles, BEPS, OECD frameworks, and local tax regulations, along with excellent client-facing and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage large-scale international tax engagements for multinational clients across various industries.
- Advise clients on cross-border structuring, M&A tax, transfer pricing impact, tax treaties, and withholding tax issues.
- Provide insights on global developments (OECD Pillars, BEPS 2.0, MLI, etc.) and their impact on clients' tax strategy.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff and managers in the team.
- Prepare and review technical tax memoranda, reports, and client deliverables.
- Collaborate with global teams on cross-jurisdictional tax planning and structuring projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, and participate in business development initiatives.
- Monitor tax regulatory changes and provide thought leadership to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- CA with 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in international tax
- Strong knowledge of Indian and international tax laws, including transfer pricing principles, OECD guidelines, and BEPS framework.
- Experience in advising on cross-border transactions, inbound/outbound structuring, and tax controversy support.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders across geographies.
- A proactive, client-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to tax technology tools and digital tax solutions.
- Knowledge of global tax reporting standards (CbCR, FATCA, etc.)
- Experience in representing clients before tax authorities or in litigation matters (optional, but a plus).
