Role Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain professional to lead and strengthen end-to-end supply chain planning and execution. This role will be responsible for demand planning, inventory optimization, material availability, and coordination across manufacturing, procurement, warehousing, and logistics functions.

The position plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, managing risks, improving working capital, and ensuring high service levels through data-driven decision-making and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications & Education:

Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Science, Pharmacy, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.

MBA / Post Graduate qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, or Logistics is strongly preferred.

Certifications in Supply Chain Management / Planning / ERP systems will be an added advantage.

Required Experience:

8-12 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning and operations.

Prior experience in process-driven manufacturing environments (such as regulated or complex supply chains) is preferred.

Strong exposure to demand planning, inventory management, production coordination, and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review market forecasts and lead the preparation of robust demand and supply plans.

- Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data to drive planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

- Perform detailed inventory analysis, monitor stock levels, and prepare management reports to optimize working capital.

- Identify supply chain trends and risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and compliance standards across supply chain operations.

- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external supply chain partners to improve service levels and responsiveness.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes and systems.

- Coordinate scheduling and timely delivery of raw and non-raw materials to support uninterrupted production.

- Participate in production planning and review meetings, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and allied functions.

- Define, track, and report supply chain KPIs, along with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Support global supply chain coordination, focusing on strategy execution, resource optimization, and profitability improvement.

- Work with plant, warehouse, and logistics teams to manage inter-unit and intercompany transfers.

- Support business units in the development and execution of strategic supply chain initiatives.

- Monitor and correct inventory positions across warehouses and internal locations to ensure stock rotation and optimal utilization.

- Lead coordination with freight forwarders and transport partners, including route optimization, cost negotiation, and contract reviews.

- Collaborate with procurement teams to establish best practices for freight-in, freight consolidation, and cost control.

- Drive effective utilization of ERP systems for planning, execution, and reporting.

- Regularly present performance reports, insights, and improvement actions to senior management.
