Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Gift onboarding team. You will be responsible for overseeing end- to- end investor onboarding, client onboarding, and ongoing compliance and regulatory reporting processes, including AML, KYC, FATCA/CRS, PMLA, and Re- KYC.
- The role will also involve ensuring adherence to IFSCA/Gift City guidelines, and supporting operations related to Domestic AIF investor onboarding. You will be a key liaison between internal teams, regulators, and fund managers to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage investor onboarding processes for AIFs, ensuring compliance with SEBI, IFSCA, and internal policies.
- Ensure efficient and accurate data capture, documentation verification, and account setup.
- Lead periodic investor due diligence and Re- KYC efforts in line with evolving regulatory standards.
- Ensure robust AML and KYC processes in accordance with PMLA and global best practices.
- Oversee screening, risk assessment, and onboarding approval processes.
- Implement and monitor FATCA/CRS compliance and related investor disclosures/reporting.
- Lead periodic training and awareness sessions for the team on compliance topics.
- Manage onboarding of fund managers and institutional clients in coordination with legal and compliance teams.
- Define service level expectations and drive onboarding efficiency through technology and process improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with IFSCA regulations, Gift City norms, and SEBI AIF guidelines for onboarding and ongoing investor servicing.
- Interpret new regulatory circulars and lead the operationalization of guidelines within defined timelines.
- Lead the Transfer Agency operations team including investor record- keeping, capital calls, distributions, and NAV reporting.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, controls, and process documentation.
- Develop SOPs, checklists, and investor reporting formats in alignment with regulatory and fund- specific requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for fund managers, custodians, legal teams, and regulators on investor- related matters.
- Collaborate with internal technology, legal, risk, and compliance teams for process integration and platform enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in transfer agency, investor services, or operations in AIF's, mutual funds, or private equity.
- Deep knowledge of AML/KYC norms, FATCA/CRS, PMLA, and investor due diligence requirements.
- Experience in operating under SEBI, IFSCA, or Gift City regulatory frameworks is highly preferred.
- Hands- on experience in domestic AIF investor onboarding and compliance management.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, capital activity workflows, and regulatory reporting.
- Proven leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
