Role Overview:

Looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Insurance Domain with strong knowledge of Canadian and/or North American insurance markets, products, and operations. The role will work closely with senior business and transformation leaders to identify and drive opportunities in business process improvement, customer experience, digital transformation, automation, and AI.

The ideal candidate will combine deep insurance-domain expertise with strategic consulting and transformation capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes across Canada and US Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Insurance Domain Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise across Canadian and North American insurance products, operations, market practices, and regulatory trends.

- Business Consulting: Partner with senior stakeholders to identify business challenges, define priorities, and recommend domain-led transformation opportunities.

- Process Transformation: Assess end-to-end business processes and customer journeys to improve efficiency, service quality, productivity, turnaround time, and cost effectiveness.

- Digital Transformation & AI: Identify opportunities for intelligent automation, digital workflows, analytics, Generative AI, and agentic AI in insurance operations.

- Transformation Delivery: Drive initiatives from opportunity assessment and business-case development through implementation, governance, and value realization.

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business, operations, technology, data, risk, and compliance teams across Canada, the US, and SLGS.

- Strategic Advisory: Present recommendations, transformation roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes to senior leadership.

Required Insurance Domain Expertise:

Candidates should have strong experience in at least one of the following domains:

- 1. Individual Insurance

- 2. Group Benefits

- 3. Wealth & Asset Management - Preferred

- 4. Reinsurance - Preferred

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 12+ years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to domain consulting, operations, business transformation, or business leadership.

- Strong understanding of Canadian and/or US insurance products, value chains, operating models, and business practices.

- Demonstrated expertise in one or more individual insurance or group benefits functions; experience across multiple lines of business is an advantage.

- Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and translating complex business challenges into actionable strategies.

- Experience in process reengineering, operational excellence, customer journey improvement, or operating-model transformation.

- Practical exposure to digital transformation, intelligent automation, data analytics, or AI-enabled solutions in insurance or financial services.

- Strong strategic thinking, consulting, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. MBA or an equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
