Senior Manager - Indirect Taxation - CA

Role: Senior Manager Indirect Taxation

Location: Chennai

Reporting To: CFO / VP-Finance

CTC: 30 LPA (CA mandatory)

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

- GST compliance: Lead end-to-end GST return filing, reconciliations, annual returns, and statutory reporting.

- Tax audits: Manage departmental assessments, notices, investigations, and litigation.

- Customs compliance: Ensure adherence to Customs and other indirect tax laws.

- Tax advisory: Provide guidance on procurement, sales, distribution, imports, exports, and new initiatives.

- Tax planning: Identify opportunities for optimization while ensuring compliance.

- Stakeholder management: Liaise with tax authorities, external consultants, statutory auditors, and internal teams.

- Regulatory updates: Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and drive implementation.

- Process improvement: Strengthen internal controls, automate compliance processes, and standardize reporting.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams.

- Team leadership: Mentor the indirect taxation team and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory

- Strong expertise in GST, Customs, and indirect taxation

- Experience in FMCG/Manufacturing organizations or leading audit firms

- Proven ability to handle taxation across manufacturing, procurement, distribution, and supply chain operations
