
Senior Manager - Human Resources
Role Overview:
- The Senior Manager - HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR functions across both plant and corporate environments, with a strong focus on industrial relations, statutory compliance, process excellence, and workforce management.
- This role requires a highly process-oriented individual who can establish structured HR practices, ensure compliance, and partner closely with business stakeholders to drive operational efficiency and a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations
- Manage union relationships, including negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution (for plant environment)
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and misconduct cases across both plant and corporate
- Ensure a harmonious and compliant work environment
2. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including:
- Factories Act
- Industrial Disputes Act
- Code on Wages
- Shops & Establishments Act
- PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other applicable regulations
- Liaise with government authorities and manage inspections, audits, and filings
- Maintain all statutory records and ensure audit readiness
3. HR Operations & Process Management
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (onboarding to exit) across plant and corporate
- Drive standardization, documentation, and continuous improvement of HR processes
- Ensure data accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance-driven documentation
- Manage attendance, leave, and payroll inputs in coordination with finance/payroll teams
4. Talent Acquisition
- Manage recruitment across plant and corporate roles
- Partner with business leaders to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring
- Strengthen hiring processes to ensure quality and efficiency
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Support compensation structuring, payroll inputs, and statutory compliance
- Ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements
6. Performance Management & Development
- Drive performance management frameworks (KRAs/KPIs) across functions
- Identify capability gaps and support learning & development initiatives
7. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Drive employee engagement initiatives across plant and corporate teams
- Build a structured and positive work culture aligned with business goals
8. Vendor & Contract Labour Management
- Manage contract labour, manpower agencies, and external vendors
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws for contract workforce
9. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Act as a strategic HR partner to plant leadership and corporate stakeholders
- Lead and manage the HR team across locations/functions
- Collaborate with leadership to drive HR strategy and process excellence
Experience & Qualification:
- 8-15 years of HR experience
- Experience across both manufacturing/plant and corporate HR environments
- Strong expertise in industrial relations, compliance, and HR operations
- MBA / Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labour laws
