Senior HR Manager (India & Southeast Asia)

Role Purpose:

The role is responsible for leading the people strategy, HR governance, and workforce agenda across India and Southeast Asia, ensuring alignment with Dhler's global HR strategy and regional business objectives. The position acts as a strategic HR partner to regional leadership, driving organisational effectiveness, talent scalability, and leadership capability across multi-country operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership:

- Accountable for defining and implementing the regional people strategy, aligned with Dhler Group objectives and regional business priorities.

- Act as the primary HR advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership team on organisational design, workforce scalability, people risk, and change management.

- Translate global HR frameworks into regionally relevant, compliant, and effective people practices.

2. Workforce Planning, Budgeting & Governance:

- Lead workforce planning and HR budgeting across India and Southeast Asia, ensuring cost discipline and alignment with approved financial plans.

- Monitor headcount, productivity, and organisational effectiveness, proposing proactive measures to address current and future workforce needs.

- Ensure strong HR governance, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with approved budgets.

3. Talent Acquisition & Capability Building:

- Provide leadership and strategic oversight to the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring timely, quality hiring aligned with business growth and capability needs.

- Drive regional talent strategies covering succession planning, leadership development, and critical role readiness.

- Partner with business leaders to ensure vacancies are filled in line with Dhler fundamentals, capability requirements, and long-term workforce planning.

4. Performance Management & Leadership Development:

- Own and continuously improve performance management frameworks, ensuring effective goal setting, evaluation, and differentiation.

- Lead succession planning and leadership capability initiatives to build a strong internal leadership pipeline.

- Coach and advise senior leaders on performance, talent decisions, and people development strategies.

5. Employee Relations & Compliance:

- Provide expert leadership on employee relations, including performance management, grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and policy interpretation.

- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, company policies, and internal governance standards across all countries in scope.

- Mitigate people and compliance risks through proactive advisory, training, and intervention.

6. HR Operations & Process Excellence:

- Ensure effective and efficient HR operations across the region, including policy deployment, employee lifecycle management, and HR service delivery.

- Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and optimisation of HR processes, systems, and organisational structures.

- Contribute to and support digital transformation initiatives within HR, including optimisation of systems, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

7. Team Leadership:

- Lead, develop, and mentor a regional HR team of approximately 6 members, fostering high performance, accountability, and professional growth.

- Build a collaborative, trust-based HR team culture aligned with Dhler values.

- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and ensure capability development within the HR function.

8. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Build strong, trust-based relationships with regional and global stakeholders, including business leaders, social partners, and global HR counterparts.

- Represent the HR function as a credible, value-adding partner across the region.
