Job Title: Senior HR Manager / Head of Human Resources.

Location: Ahmedabad.

Experience: 8-15 years (minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience).

Role Context / Mission:

The organization is undertaking a large-scale transformation of the healthcare ecosystem, working across both private and public sectors.

The objective is to build a secure, real-time digital health backbone at a national scaleenabling seamless, trusted, and high-impact healthcare delivery.

The organization is already executing city-wide healthcare infrastructure integrations, demonstrating real, on-ground transformation.

This role is ideal for leaders who bring strong ownership, drive, and a builders mindset.

Role Summary:

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional to design, build, and scale people practices in a fast-growing, mission-driven organisation.

The role goes beyond transactional HR and focuses on shaping organizational culture, strengthening leadership capability, enabling performance, and building scalable HR systems.

The Senior HR Manager / Head of HR will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team while ensuring strong governance, compliance, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Culture & Values:

- Define, articulate, and embed organizational values and behaviors across the company.

- Build a performance-driven, ethical, inclusive, and transparent culture.

- Act as a culture champion and coach leaders to consistently model desired behaviors.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:

- Own end-to-end recruitment strategy across all functions and levels.

- Design structured hiring processes, interviewer training, and decision-making frameworks.

- Strengthen employer branding to attract high-quality, mission-aligned talent.

Organization Design & Workforce Planning:

- Partner with leadership to design scalable organizational structures and role clarity.

- Define career paths, succession planning, and leadership pipelines.

- Forecast workforce needs aligned with business and growth strategy.

Performance Management & Capability Building:

- Design and institutionalize performance management systems (OKRs, reviews, feedback cycles).

- Create learning, development, and leadership enablement programs.

- Drive a culture of accountability, fairness, and continuous improvement.

Employee Experience & Engagement:

- Lead onboarding, engagement initiatives, internal communication, and retention strategies.

- Conduct employee engagement surveys and drive action plans based on insights.

- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers.

HR Operations & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

- Oversee payroll, benefits administration, HR policies, and employee records.

- Manage HRIS and leverage people analytics for data-driven decisions.

Change Management & Leadership Support:

- Support leaders through growth, organisational change, restructuring, and conflict resolution.

- Drive change management initiatives during scaling or transformation phases.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Time-to-hire and quality of hire.

- Overall attrition and regretted attrition.

- Employee engagement scores.

- Leadership bench strength and internal promotion rate.

- Performance review completion and effectiveness.

- Compliance and audit outcomes.

Required Experience & Skills:

Experience:

- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience.

- Proven experience in scaling organizations (growth, transformation, or turnaround).

- Strong partnership experience with senior leadership teams.

Skills:

- Strong judgement on people matters and culture-building.

- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict management skills.

- Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

- Data-driven mindset with experience in people analytics.

Preferred Background:

- Experience in high-growth technology, healthcare, or services organizations.

- MBA or Masters degree in HR / Organizational Psychology preferred.
