Mission
Key missions of the position:
The Human Resources Business Partner role contributes to company performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development strategies in support of the business objectives. Performs HR related duties at the professional level while supporting business teams. Will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition; employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance, and compensation management consultation; and talent management consultation. May carry out additional responsibilities to include organizational design; employee development initiatives and training.
Responsibilities
- HR Business for Freight Equipment business (factory - non unionized)
- Partners with the dept heads and people leaders to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future recruiting, retention, succession planning.
- Develop appropriate human resource plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment and develop / implement appropriate change management plans as required.
- Work with senior leaders in the organization (including global stakeholders) to proactively identify employee challenges and work in a matrix organization to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Partner with HR COEs like Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to ensure exemplary support to business.
- Help coach managers and employees and help translate company goals to every level in the organization.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Enable a culture of high performance and employee engagement. Identifying and developing talent pipeline for key roles.
- Creating a dynamic pipeline of talent through rigorous performance management, e.g., leadership assessments, coaching and development of employees, candid and timely performance feedback

Required Candidate Profile
Education/Training
- Master's Degree in Human Resources
Professional Experience
- Minimum 16 years of experience in the HR function
- Strong stakeholder orientation and ability to work in a globally matrixed organization.
- Excellent interpersonal consulting and leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate/consult make decisions.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong result orientation and ability to drive and manage change.
- Ability to quickly build rapport and credible relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong employee advocacy and ability to build comfort and approachability
