Our client is a Life Insurance Company. It has built its operations over almost two decades through need-based sales process, a customer-centric approach to engagement and service delivery and trained human capital.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic HR professional to lead HR Operations with a strong technology orientation. This role combines expertise in payroll, onboarding, compliance, and HR systems with the ability to drive digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will champion automation, process excellence, and tech-enabled HR service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Payroll

- Oversee end-to-end payroll management ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement.

- Implement payroll automation tools and integrate with HRIS/finance systems.

- Drive payroll analytics for insights on cost, efficiency, and workforce trends.

2. Onboarding & Employee Life Cycle

- Design and digitize onboarding workflows for seamless new-hire experience.

- Integrate onboarding platforms with HRIS to ensure smooth data flow across systems.

- Standardize employee lifecycle processes (joining, transfers, exits) with automation.

3. Compliance & Governance

- Ensure statutory compliance across PF, ESIC, gratuity, labor laws, and tax regulations.

- Deploy compliance monitoring tools and dashboards for audit readiness.

- Partner with Legal/Finance to strengthen governance and risk management.

4. Technology & Transformation

- Lead HR tech stack (HRIS, payroll platforms, compliance tools, onboarding systems).

- Drive HR digitization projects including shared services, system migrations, and automation.

- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement scalable HR solutions.

- Monitor HR tech trends and recommend adoption of AI, analytics, and cloud-based solutions.

5. Stakeholder Management

- Deliver structured communication to senior leadership on HR Ops performance and projects.

- Manage a small team and project-specific resources, ensuring accountability and delivery.

- Partner cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Legal for integrated HR solutions.

Desired Qualification, Experience & Skills:

- MBA/PGDM in HR or related field

- Certifications in HRIS tools, payroll systems, or project management (PMP/Agile) are a plus

- 9-12 years of HR Operations experience with strong exposure to payroll, onboarding, compliance, and HR tech.

- Hands-on expertise with HRIS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Darwinbox, Oracle HCM, etc.).

- Proven track record in HR transformation, automation, or digital projects.

- Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- High attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities.

- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
