What You'll Own:
1. Pipeline Generation & Outbound Business Development:
- Design and execute outbound prospecting strategies to generate a qualified pipeline for the MaaS practice in US Market.
- Identify and engage decision-makers CMOs, Heads of Demand Gen, Marketing Directors, Growth Leaders, Founders, and PE/VC portfolio operators.
- Build multi-channel pipeline through outbound sequences, referrals, LinkedIn social selling, events, and community engagement.
- Develop account plans and tiered engagement strategies across target segments: early-stage startups, scaling businesses, and PE/VC-backed portfolios.
- Own a pipeline number - this is a revenue accountability role, not a top-of-funnel hand-off role.
2. AI-Powered Prospecting & Outreach Execution:
- Use AI tools (Clay, Apollo, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others) to research accounts, craft hyper-personalized outreach, and build scalable sequences.
- Build intelligent outbound programs that combine data enrichment, intent signals, and AI-assisted messaging to improve response rates and meeting conversions.
- Continuously test, measure, and improve outreach cadences based on performance data.
- Stay ahead of the AI prospecting toolstack - you'll be the person others look to for what works.
- Document and institutionalize outreach playbooks as the practice scales.
3. Consultative Selling & Discovery:
- Lead discovery conversations that uncover prospect pain, marketing maturity, team structure, and growth goals.
- Position MaaS as a strategic business solution - not a tactical vendor - and articulate clear ROI and value framing.
- Develop tailored proposals, capability presentations, and solution narratives aligned to client context.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles across marketing, finance, and leadership buying committees.
4. Deal Closure & Revenue Ownership:
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: from first outreach to signed contract.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build proposals, Statements of Work, and commercial models.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support smooth contract finalization.
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline hygiene and forecast cadence weekly, monthly, quarterly.
5. Practice Building & Go-to-Market Development:
- Contribute actively to packaging, pricing, and positioning of MaaS service tiers.
- Feed market intelligence, competitive signals, and prospect feedback into practice leadership.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within Compunnel's broader portfolio (digital, IT staffing, product engineering).
- Co-develop thought leadership, case studies, and reference materials as the practice wins its first clients.
- Support building the sales infrastructure: CRM setup, pipeline reporting, playbooks, and onboarding templates.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
- 8 - 12 years across business development, client acquisition, agency sales, marketing consulting, or growth-focused roles.
- Demonstrated success generating qualified pipeline and closing service-based B2B business - must be able to show numbers.
- Agency or marketing consultancy background strongly preferred - you understand how to sell marketing as a managed service.
- Exposure to early-stage or build-from-scratch environments (startup, new business unit, practice launch) is a significant plus.
Marketing Knowledge:
- Solid grasp of B2B marketing fundamentals: demand generation, content marketing, digital marketing (SEO, paid, email), campaign operations, and marketing analytics.
- Ability to speak credibly with CMOs and marketing leaders about their stack, their funnel, and their growth challenges.
- Familiarity with modern B2B marketing tools and platforms - not as a practitioner, but as a consultant who can diagnose and prescribe.
AI & Tech Fluency:
- Daily use of AI tools for research, personalization, copywriting, and productivity - this is non-negotiable.
- Hands-on experience with prospecting and sales engagement tools: Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Instantly, Outreach, or equivalents.
- Experience with CRM platforms: HubSpot or Salesforce (setup, pipeline management, reporting).
- Comfort with no-code/low-code tools and a willingness to learn new platforms quickly.
The Person:
- Commercially driven - you think in revenue, not just activity metrics.
- Highly proactive - you don't wait to be told what to do next.
- Excellent communicator - written, verbal, and in presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - in an early-stage practice, the playbook is being written in real time.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - you treat this like your business, not a job.
- Resilient - startup-style challenges (resource gaps, shifting priorities, slow early traction) don't deter you.
