Description:
- Own and optimize GL processes including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, Tax, Treasury) to resolve accounting issues and streamline workflows.
- Drive BPM initiatives to automate and standardize GL processes across entities and geographies.
- Review and approve complex accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Support statutory audits and internal audits with relevant documentation and analysis.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs for GL operations and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale GL operations in a shared services or BPM environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and reporting tools.
- Experience in process transformation, automation (RPA), and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
