Manager / Senior Manager - Founders' Office

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: 4 - 8 years

Function: Strategy & Operations

About the Organisation:

We are a sports-focused organisation on a mission to make India a sporting nation by helping people experience sport both on and off the field. Our vision is to build a vibrant sporting ecosystem where children and adults have access to professional coaching and sports fans can experience the world's biggest sporting events up close.

The organisation operates across two key verticals:

- Sports Coaching & Development: Delivering structured, professional sports coaching to children and adults through residential communities and schools, with a focus on accessibility, quality and coach development.

- Sports Travel & Experiences: Creating premium, fan-centric experiences at major global sporting events, including international cricket, Formula 1, Grand Slam tennis, European football and other marquee sporting tournaments.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, the organisation has a team of 150+ professionals and is led by founders with extensive experience in the Indian sports industry. With technology at the core of its operations, the team is driven by a growth mindset, ownership, agility and trust.

About the Role:

We are looking for a sharp, analytical and highly disciplined Senior Manager - Founders' Office to work closely with the Founder and drive business planning, performance tracking and execution across both business verticals.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You will help translate business priorities into actionable plans, track progress against targets, identify gaps and ensure teams stay focused on delivering outcomes.

The ideal candidate is someone who can move seamlessly between high-level business planning and detailed operational reviews, bringing structure, accountability and clarity to a fast-paced, multi-business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Planning & Growth Strategy:

- Develop annual operating plans (AOPs) and business plans in collaboration with business heads.

- Build go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new cities, products, events and business initiatives.

- Translate strategic priorities into measurable targets, execution plans and timelines.

- Support leadership in evaluating growth opportunities and identifying areas for improvement.

2. Business Performance & Execution:

- Track business performance against planned targets and proactively flag deviations.

- Identify execution gaps, assess their impact and recommend timely course corrections.

- Monitor key operational processes across both business verticals, including CRM hygiene, data accuracy and task completion.

- Ensure teams meet agreed timelines and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliverables.

- Drive accountability and ensure critical priorities receive the necessary attention.

3. MIS, Dashboards & Business Insights:

- Build and maintain daily, weekly and monthly dashboards to track overall business health.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics and business trends.

- Analyse data to identify patterns, emerging risks, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.

- Prepare concise, insight-driven updates for the Founder and leadership team.

- Convert data into actionable recommendations that support better decision-making.

4. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Work closely with business heads and cross-functional teams to improve execution efficiency.

- Identify recurring operational issues and establish processes to prevent them from reoccurring.

- Strengthen internal reporting, review mechanisms and operating discipline.

- Ensure clear ownership of tasks, timely communication and consistent follow-through across teams.

5. Special Projects:

- Lead and support strategic initiatives across business, operations, product and growth.

- Work on high-priority projects assigned by the Founder.

- Bring structure to ambiguous problems, develop actionable solutions and drive implementation from start to finish.

Key Requirements:

- Graduate or postgraduate degree from a premier institute.

- Approximately 4 years of relevant professional experience in business strategy, consulting, business planning, operations or a Founder's Office role.

- Prior experience in annual operating plans (AOPs), go-to-market strategy, business performance management or strategic execution.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable business decisions.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to tackling complex challenges.

- High levels of ownership, discipline and consistency in day-to-day execution.

- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify gaps beyond routine checklists.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present concise updates to senior leadership.

- Confidence in coordinating with stakeholders across functions and levels, following up on commitments and driving accountability.

- Proficiency in working with spreadsheets, dashboards and business reporting tools.

- A genuine interest in sports and the broader sports industry would be a strong advantage.

What Makes This Role Exciting?:

- Direct exposure to the Founder: Work closely with leadership on critical business priorities and strategic decisions.

- Broad business ownership: Gain exposure to two distinct business models spanning sports coaching, travel and premium fan experiences.

- Strategy meets execution: Influence business planning while ensuring plans translate into measurable results.

- High-impact projects: Take ownership of initiatives that shape business growth, operational excellence and organisational effectiveness.

- Opportunity to build: Be part of a growing sports ecosystem and contribute to the development of India's sporting landscape.

If you are analytical, detail-oriented and passionate about turning business strategy into execution, this is an opportunity to work at the heart of a growing sports business and create meaningful impact.
