ROLE PURPOSE:

This is a newly created role reporting to the AVP Fleet & Operations (RAC and Lease Consolidated), built to provide dedicated day-to-day execution capacity across both business lines. While the AVP owns the overall fleet and operations charter, strategic direction, and stakeholder governance for RAC and Lease, this role is accountable for hands-on delivery executing fleet purchase, maintenance, insurance, remarketing, compliance, and vendor coordination on a day-to-day basis across both RAC and Lease freeing the AVP to focus on consolidation, governance, and cross-business leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. RAC Fleet & Operations Execution:

- Fleet purchase & remarketing: Execute vehicle sourcing, OEM coordination, and induction planning for the RAC fleet, and manage day-to-day de-fleeting and remarketing execution.

- Maintenance: Coordinate scheduled and breakdown maintenance execution through the workshop network to maintain vehicle uptime and availability.

- Insurance: Manage day-to-day insurance operations for the RAC fleet policy issuance, renewal tracking, and claims processing.

- Fleet utilisation: Track and report vehicle utilisation across the branch network, flagging gaps to the AVP.

- Car hire vendor management: Manage day-to-day coordination with car hire vendors tracking margins, availability, and fleet quality against agreed terms.

- Fleet quality: Conduct fleet quality and grooming audits across the branch network.

- Chauffeur management: Support day-to-day chauffeur deployment and discipline management across the RAC network.

B. Lease Fleet & Operations Execution:

- Fleet purchase: Execute sourcing and procurement coordination for the Lease fleet, in line with client contracts and induction timelines.

C. Consolidated Cross-Business Execution Support:

- Support the AVP in rolling out standardised processes, systems, and vendor management across RAC and Lease.

- Coordinate operationally with OEMs, insurers, and workshop/vendor partners to help realise the commercial terms negotiated by the AVP.

- Maintain accurate fleet data (utilisation, cost, ageing, compliance) in the Arc and Aegis fleet modules for both businesses.

- Prepare consolidated MIS and dashboards for the AVP ahead of leadership reviews.

- Flag cost and efficiency opportunities arising from day-to-day RAC and Lease fleet operations to the AVP.

- Maintenance & R&M tracking: Coordinate AMC/service-contract execution for leased vehicles and track R&M spend against the approved budget.

- Insurance: Manage day-to-day insurance operations for the leased fleet, including renewals tracking and claims processing.

- Remarketing & residual value: Execute the de-fleeting and remarketing process for vehicles coming off lease, and support RV (residual value) mapping for new deals.

- Client SLA & utilisation: Track fleet utilisation and SLA/MLA adherence for Lease clients, escalating gaps to the AVP.

- Vendor & supplier management: Manage day-to-day vendor/supplier onboarding, and service/invoicing coordination across client locations.

- Pool & replacement fleet: Manage the pool/replacement car fleet on a day-to-day basis, in line with the cost-effective, SLA-meeting mix agreed with the AVP.

- MIS & reporting: Prepare MIS inputs for R&M cost, profit on sale of cars, and other income for the AVP's review and consolidation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Graduate in Engineering / Automobile / Business Administration; MBA preferred but not essential.

- 610 years of experience in fleet operations, automotive operations, vehicle leasing, or car rental, with hands-on execution experience in maintenance, insurance, procurement, or remarketing.

- Exposure to both rental/chauffeur-drive and leasing operations is an advantage, given the dual-charter nature of this role.

- Working familiarity with fleet/ERP systems (Arc, Aegis) and MIS reporting.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

- Strong execution and coordination capability across vendors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.

- Data/MIS orientation, comfortable preparing accurate, timely reports for leadership review.

- Ability to work across two business lines with differing processes and client requirements.

- Team-handling ability for ground-level RAC and Lease operations staff.

- Process discipline and attention to detail, with a bias toward hands-on problem-solving.
