Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis - CA

The Senior Manager Finance & Accounts manages the Management Information Systems (MIS) department along with the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) activities at the site. This role oversees financial operations including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, spend reporting, and accuracy of financial records. The role requires driving efficiency through continuous improvement of financial processes while managing competing priorities in a complex, matrix environment.

Core Responsibilities (but not limited to):

- Supervise monthly close processes: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis.

- Partner with key leaders to understand business needs.

- Ensure strong communication and presentation across teams.

- Independently supervise all SEZ activities: Endorsements, Bill of entry, filings, SEZ compliances.

- Drive financial targets for the site and promote financial control and discipline.

Specific Responsibilities:

- Apply technical accounting knowledge (FASB, US GAAP, Indian GAAP).

- Manage audit activities at the site and maintain SOX documentation.

- Lead monthly close, budget preparation, P&L; ownership, and reporting packages.

- Build relationships with shared services (GFS and CoE).

- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis and develop action plans.

- Handle inter-company transactions and ensure compliance with policies.

- Oversee SEZ filings, audits, and job work compliances (Domestic & Abroad).

Staff Management:

- Manage a team of professionals handling finance operations and SEZ processes.

- Develop, mentor, and ensure high performance across the team.

Preferred Education / Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

- 8 - 10 years of experience in finance and/or SEZ processes, preferably in manufacturing.

- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced multinational environment.

Advanced Competencies:

- Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA or SAP Hyperion.

- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with ability to create and use complex models.
