Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Financial Due Diligence to lead end-to-end due diligence engagements while actively driving business development initiatives. This role requires strong expertise in financial analysis, transaction advisory, and risk assessment, along with the ability to build and scale client relationships and contribute to revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Due Diligence

- Lead and deliver financial due diligence assignments for M&A transactions.

- Evaluate financial performance, quality of earnings, working capital, and key business drivers of target companies.

- Analyze financial statements, forecasts, and business models to assess accuracy and sustainability.

- Identify key risks, deal breakers, and value creation opportunities, and quantify financial impact.

- Prepare detailed due diligence reports and present insights to clients and stakeholders.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tax, legal, commercial, operational) to deliver integrated transaction support.

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.

2. Business Development

- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the transaction advisory space.

- Build and leverage a strong professional network to generate deal flow.

- Lead client pitches, proposals, and presentations to secure new mandates.

- Drive client acquisition strategies and support revenue growth initiatives.

- Partner with internal teams to execute targeted go-to-market strategies.

- Strengthen and expand relationships with existing clients through proactive engagement.

3. Client Relationship Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients across engagements.

- Understand client objectives and tailor due diligence scope accordingly.

- Ensure high-quality delivery and a strong client experience throughout the engagement lifecycle.

- Provide post-transaction support, including insights on integration and value realization.

4. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop team members across levels.

- Provide guidance on technical delivery, client management, and career progression.

- Ensure optimal resource allocation and timely project execution.

- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and ethical work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory

- 8+ years of experience in Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Advisory within a consulting firm

- Proven experience in leading complex due diligence engagements and managing teams

- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and report-writing capabilities

- Demonstrated success in business development and revenue generation

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Prior experience or strong understanding of the Mumbai market is preferred
