The candidate will head up the Finance centre of excellence team based in Bangalore. - The Corporate finance role will include defining the company growth strategy; putting financial controls in place; book keeping, B/S assessment, cash management, planning, and accounting. - The role will be responsible for management/ financial reporting, tax compliance, AP/AR, Finance systems and Finance risk & governance. - The person will be charged with leading the recruitment efforts (together with HR) to build a best in class team that is fully empowered, entrepreneurial, and demonstrates a clear sense of ownership. The team will continue to design and implement a strong and robust control framework that underpins the group's financial reporting deliverables, working closely with our outsourced service providers on embedding efficient and effective Accounting and Tax processes, to facilitate timely and accurate reporting to the group's sponsors. - Together with the Group Financial Controller, this role will be a key interface into the company's group auditors, and will oversee the appropriate adoption of relevant Accounting standards and pronouncements by the team. It will oversee the timely adherence to tax compliance for each of the countries, in partnership with appointed tax agents. Your functions: Corporate finance expert who comes with good financial/management reporting experience: - Maintain cohesive partnerships with key Finance contacts within the sponsor group, Macquarie Bank, to manage financial reporting deliverables and risks - Partner with the CFO/Group Financial Controller to build and foster an effective Finance centre of excellence within India, Bangalore, covering financial reporting and tax compliance across all companies within the group, spanning Singapore, Malaysia, India, Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia and some pacific island countries. - Lead the operational governance of the Finance control environment, that relevant policies and standards are in place, strictly complied with and monitored - Be the lead architect of the Finance systems landscape - drive the agenda, construct the business case, research, solicit buy-in, and implement - Embed an effective partnership model with Accounting and Tax advisors to ensure in-country compliance - Embed a partnership mindset together with in-country Finance business partners, to support all relevant project development, construction and operational needs. - Own and lead the Finance reporting and tax calendar, ensuring activities are appropriately planned and monitored by the team - Be a lead liaison for Audit Transfer Pricing - Put in place business processes, capture of cost drivers, monitoring and governance, to support periodic reporting and execution - Own and drive TP in-country compliance by way of ensuring appropriate contemporaneous documentation is in place, at the most optimal level with the group's structure, that drives efficient and streamlined TP business practices Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - Oversee and own the business processes and Finance systems to efficiently monitor and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - Ensure systems and static data are appropriately configured to facilitate performance and group reporting Finance Systems - Own the administration and strategic application of the group's general ledger and consolidation system, Navision and Lucanet respectively - Help drive the Finance transformation agenda, by continuously challenging the status quo and streamline systems and processes - A qualified CA with over 12 years experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading and/or building mid-sized teams and with international experience.
