Senior Manager - Finance - NGO

Role : Senior Finance Manager (FP&A, Closing, Budgeting & Compliance)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Finance Manager who can own the numbers end-to-end - not just report them. This role sits at the core of financial planning, monthly closing, budgeting discipline, audit readiness, and business partnering. Youll be expected to bring structure, accuracy, and insight, not just spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) :

- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning cycles

- Build and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis

- Deliver variance analysis (Actual vs Budget vs Forecast) with clear business insights, not just numbers

- Identify risks, opportunities, and cost optimization levers across functions

- Support leadership with data-backed decision-making

2. Financial Closing & Reporting :

- Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with strict timelines

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

- Coordinate with accounting teams to resolve discrepancies proactively

- Standardize closing processes to reduce timelines and errors

3. Budgeting & Forecasting :

- Lead the annual budgeting process across departments

- Work closely with business heads to build realistic and accountable budgets

- Monitor budget adherence and enforce financial discipline

- Continuously refine rolling forecasts based on business performance

4. Audit, Documentation & Compliance :

- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits at all times

- Maintain clean, well-documented financial records and audit trails

- Drive compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies

- Identify and close control gaps - dont wait for auditors to flag them

5. Stakeholder Management :

- Act as a finance partner to business teams, not a back-office function

- Work closely with leadership, operations, and external stakeholders (auditors, consultants)

- Translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders

- Push back when needed - protect financial integrity over convenience

Key Requirements :

- CA / MBA (Finance) / Equivalent qualification

- 8+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and compliance roles

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls

- Advanced Excel / financial modeling skills (non-negotiable)

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)

- Ability to handle ambiguity and operate in fast-paced environments
