Senior Finance Manager - Mumbai/Bangalore

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager - Finance to lead financial control, governance, and disciplinary functions across our organization. You will own end-to-end financial operations, from accounting and FP&A to compliance and investor reporting. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who has successfully scaled finance in a startup or regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes under Ind AS and design, implement, and enforce robust financial controls, SOPs, and approval matrices.

2. Lead statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, and CARO compliance; ensure adherence to Companies Act, GST, TDS, income tax, and regulatory requirements.

3. Oversee Accounts & GL function, review revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and maintain audit-ready books at all times.

4. Own cash flow visibility, forecasting, and working capital discipline; monitor partner floats, escrow accounts, payables/receivables cycles, and optimize cash deployment.

5. Partner with FP&A to review budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and track margins, unit economics, and operational burn.

6. Prepare MIS reports, board packs, and investor-ready financial statements; support fundraising, due diligence, and data room preparation.

7. Build scalable finance systems, automation frameworks, and drive continuous process improvements

Desired Candidate Profile

a. Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-12 years of experience, preferably in startup or regulated environments; Insurtech/Insurance background preferred.

b. Strong expertise in financial control, audit management, compliance, and cash management

Proficient in financial systems, automation, and Ind AS/statutory requirements.

c. Hands-on, detail-oriented with high ownership mentality; comfortable working closely with founders and cross-functional teams.
