Role Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall financial management and control of the plant accounts function. The role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit coordination, vendor management, and internal control systems within a manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

- Oversee and manage the complete accounts function of the plant.

- Ensure timely finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.

- Review and consolidate books of accounts and submit Trial Balance to Corporate Office on a monthly basis.

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Monitor budgetary control and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

- Analyze variances and provide periodic financial insights to management.

- Support plant leadership in cost optimization initiatives.

3. Vendor Payments & Payables Management

- Verify and authorize all vendor payments in line with company policies.

- Review supplier advances and outstanding payables on a weekly basis and report status to Corporate Office.

- Ensure timely settlement of liabilities and maintain strong vendor relationships.

4. Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.).

- Verify and submit Statutory Compliance Reports to the Corporate Office within stipulated timelines.

- Liaise with statutory authorities when required.

5. Audit & Internal Controls

- Coordinate and handle both Internal and External Audits.

- Facilitate audit processes by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.

- Ensure implementation and monitoring of robust internal control systems.

- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial governance.

6. Reconciliation & Financial Analysis

- Perform reconciliation of financial transactions by collecting and analyzing account information.

- Ensure accuracy in bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and ledger scrutiny.

7. Asset & Risk Management

- Monitor and ensure adequacy of insurance coverage for plant assets.

- Support risk mitigation through financial oversight and compliance monitoring.
