Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts - Manufacturing/Startup - CA

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Control & Compliance:

- Establish and maintain robust financial controls and accounting processes.

- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.

- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.

2. Inventory & Cost Management:

- Own inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

- Implement strong controls over inventory movement, consumption, and shrinkage.

- Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory visibility.

- Mandatory: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on inventory handling experience, preferably in a manufacturing or hardware environment.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning:

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reforecasting exercises.

- Track budget vs actuals and provide variance analysis with clear insights.

- Support leadership with financial inputs for capacity expansion, hiring, and capex planning.

4. MIS & Reconciliations:

- Prepare and review monthly MIS packs for management and investors.

- Ensure accurate reconciliation of general ledger, inventory, bank accounts, and cost centers.

- Deliver timely and reliable financial dashboards to support decision-making.

5. Systems, Process & Scale Enablement:

- Strengthen SOPs, internal controls, and finance processes as the company scales.

- Drive adoption and optimization of ERP systems (Odoo experience preferred).

- Identify opportunities for automation, reporting efficiency, and process improvements.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in finance control, accounting, and reporting

- Minimum 2-3 years of inventory accounting/handling experience

- Strong expertise in budgeting, MIS, reconciliations, and financial controls

- Experience in manufacturing domains must

- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment
