About the Organization

The organization is a diversified manufacturing and trading group with a strong presence in Ethiopia for over 25 years. The group operates across Plastic Pipes, Transformers, Construction, and Trading, with four manufacturing units around Addis Ababa and an annual turnover of USD 10 million. The workforce comprises 30 Indian expatriates and 200+ local employees, and the group is actively expanding into new business verticals.

Role Overview

We are looking for a CA professional to independently manage end-to-end Accounts & Finance operations for the groups manufacturing entities in Ethiopia. The role involves oversight of local accounting teams, statutory compliance, taxation, banking, imports, and financial finalization.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and review day-to-day accounting entries posted by local accounting staff

- Ensure accuracy and compliance in monthly and annual financial returns

- Handle tax authorities, statutory auditors, and regulatory matters

- Prepare and manage import documentation, including import costing and reconciliation

- Coordinate with banks for annual loan renewals, credit facilities, and financial approvals

- Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Ensure timely completion of statutory audits and compliance requirements

- Oversee all master data, controls, and accounting processes across group entities

- Provide financial insights and support management decision-making

- Maintain compliance with local laws, accounting standards, and internal policies.

Qualification & Experience

- CA (mandatory)

- Experience in manufacturing and trading environments preferred

- Strong hands-on exposure to finalization of accounts, taxation, audits, and banking

- Experience working with overseas operations or multicultural teams will be an advantage

- Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end finance responsibilities.
