Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts - Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Control & Governance

- Own complete financial control across manufacturing, sales, warehouses, and distribution

- Design and enforce strong internal controls, SOPs, and approval frameworks

- Ensure statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance (GST, Income Tax, audits, compliance filings)

- Act as the custodian of financial discipline and governance

- Preparing annual budgets and doing variance analysis

- Should have prepared and closed independently the Balance Sheet, P&L with year-end provisions

- Getting the audit done from one of the top audit firms of India

- Should have hands on experience in day to day accounting, bills processing, bank transactions, account reconciliations, payroll, invoicing, timely payment to suppliers and employees, payment follow up from customers, vendors, etc., liasoning with banks, accounting, tax and secretarial vendors

- Should have experience in managing income tax assessment; GST audits; Labour law related issued

2. Manufacturing Finance & Costing

- End-to-end ownership of manufacturing P&L

- Deep involvement in:

- Raw material costing

- Yield loss & wastage analysis

- Power, labor, and overhead absorption

- Standard costing vs actual costing

- Product-wise and SKU-wise margin and contribution analysis

- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality

3. MIS, Reporting & Business Support

- Build and own robust MIS systems:

- Daily / weekly / monthly performance dashboards

- Plant efficiency & capacity utilization

- Channel-wise and product-wise profitability

- Present actionable insights to founders and leadership

- Support strategic decision-making with data-backed analysis

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Ownership of cash flow forecasting and control

- Optimize:

- Receivables (DSO control)

- Inventory (RM, WIP, FG)

- Payables management

- Ensure growth is aligned with liquidity and cash discipline

5. ERP, Systems & Scale Readiness

- Drive ERP discipline and financial data accuracy

- Prepare finance systems for 2x-4x growth

Support:

- New plants or manufacturing lines

- New product categories

- Distribution and channel expansion

- Ensure audit-ready and investor-ready systems at all times

6. Team Leadership

- Build, mentor, and upgrade the finance team

- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and transparency

- Align finance as a business partner to operations and sales

Candidate Profile (Mandatory):

Experience:

- 7 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing industry

- Must have worked in a manufacturing organization of at least Rs. 1,000 annual turnover

- Exposure to multi-plant operations, multiple products and high-SKU environments

Functional Strengths:

- Strong manufacturing costing and controls background

- Excellent understanding of Indian manufacturing compliance

- Hands-on ERP implementation experience

- Comfortable working closely with founders in a fast-growing business

- Should be well versed in Tally, spreadsheets, power point and assist in making periodic and one off reports

- Attitude of driving a task independently with complete ownership
