Purpose of the role:
To lead financial operations including reporting, treasury, tax compliance, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring accuracy, cost efficiency, and regulatory adherence while enabling informed decision-making through strong MIS and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Financial Closing & Reporting:
- Ensure timely finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
- Oversee monthly closing of books in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
2. Treasury & Fund Management:
- Manage financial planning and fund utilization efficiently.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives for inward/outward remittances and capital optimization.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and credit agencies to ensure liquidity and cost-effective funding.
3. Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate tax accounting and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Review tax impact in financial entries and ensure adherence to defined SOPs.
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants to handle assessments and regulatory filings.
4. Accounting & Controls:
- Review trial balances and ensure correctness of entries with proper tax consideration.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants to safeguard company interests across financial operations.
- Monitor indirect expense accounting, inter-company transactions, and insurance accounting.
- Manage container trading and working capital accounting.
5. Systems & Process Improvements (IT):
- Support implementation of financial systems (ICMS, DMS).
- Ensure banking technology is integrated effectively with internal systems.
- Monitor digitization and proper scanning/documentation of financial records.
6. Management Information Systems (MIS):
- Oversee MIS reporting and analytics.
- Review job-wise/customer-wise profitability reports and provide inputs for working capital planning.
7. Team Management & Coordination:
- Ensure timely task execution by team members.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and effective communication with other departments.
Educational Qualifications and experience
Minimum: CA
Experience: CA with 6+ years of experience or relevant skills with 12+ years of experience, including expertise in Excel and MIS.
