Working Time : 5 days Mon to Fri | 9 AM TO 5:30 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Finance Operations (Accounts Payable) to lead and manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, regulatory compliance, and audit processes within a pharmaceutical environment.

The role requires strong leadership, deep financial expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements while ensuring adherence to statutory regulations and internal controls. The incumbent will oversee AP operations, ensure regulatory submissions, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable Operations:

- Lead and manage the AP function including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation.

- Oversee vendor onboarding, vendor relationship management, and dispute resolution.

- Monitor AP ageing, cash flow, and working capital optimization.

- Implement and improve AP policies, SOPs, and automation initiatives.

- Ensure MSME compliance, statutory filings, and payment compliance.

- Conduct fixed asset reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Prepare MIS reports, KPI dashboards, and management reports.

- Drive process efficiency using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).

- Mentor and develop AP team members.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Management:

- Ensure compliance with Department of Pharma regulations, UCPMP guidelines, and statutory financial standards.

- Manage financial data submissions to regulatory authorities.

- Support healthcare professional expense tracking and regulatory reporting.

- Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance.

- Maintain strong internal control frameworks and risk mitigation practices.

3. Audit & Financial Reporting:

- Lead internal, statutory, and external audit coordination including Income Tax and Transfer Pricing audits.

- Maintain audit documentation, records, and compliance trails.

- Support financial statement preparation and Notes to Accounts.

- Manage quarterly internal reviews and audit readiness processes.

- Collaborate with tax, finance, procurement, and IT teams.

4. Finance Projects & Stakeholder Management:

- Drive system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.

- Coordinate with IT for ERP improvements and automation.

- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth finance operations.

- Represent the AP function in leadership meetings and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- 4-6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable / PTP / General Accounting within MNC or large organizations.

- Prior pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Indian statutory regulations, IndAS, and UGAAP.

- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

- Exposure to audits, tax assessments, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
